Matthew Pope is a pianist, adjudicator, and educator in London, ON, and holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Solo Piano from The University of Western Ontario. Matthew is an avid performer as a pianist, harpsichordist, and organist, and has performed as a soloist and/or ensemble player with numerous ensembles in the GTA, including the Georgetown Bach Chorale, the Bach Elgar Choir (Hamilton, ON), the Masterworks of Oakville Choir, the Oakville Chamber Orchestra, the Mississauga Chamber Singers, and the Brampton Symphony Orchestra, and Chor Amica, Kammerchor London, and Magisterra Soloists in London, ON. As a church musician, Matthew has served as Director of Music for St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church (Diocese of Niagara), Luke’s Place (Diocese of Huron), and most recently as Interim Director of Church Music for St Paul’s Cathedral (Diocese of Huron). In addition, Matthew maintains a large private studio, is President of the London Branch of Ontario Registered Music Teachers Associations, and the newly appointed Collaborative Pianist for Chor Amica.
